Extremely brilliant and colorfast, Jacquard's Acid Dyes are concentrated, powdered, hot water dyes that give the most vibrant results possible on wool, silk, protein fibres and nylon. They produce a uniform dye job, which is always a challenge for dyers. The colors are beautiful, pure, transparent and luscious enough to dive into. Don't be alarmed by the name, the only acid involved is the white vinegar (acetic acid) that you add to the dye bath. In addition to garment dyeing, you can paint or print with these dyes using a steam setting.
These dyes are great for using when dying skeins of yarn, yards of fabric or my favorite......wool!

Wrong colour dye received?
Did I receive the wrong colour dye perhaps? It turned the item I dyed a bright orange/brown not the Olive I desired. The dye powder is a bright orange brown....but thought it would change in solution. It didn't

Yes, olive is an orange in the container. it is a very hard colour to dye with. Please refer to the instructions.
